The male Alpha stood alone under the full moon and howled.
He howled for his family
His mournful wail went unanswered.
His lonely howls became broken sobs and the howl, a cry into a dark black night lit by the glow of a full white moon
His voice cracked
His tears ran freely down his face
Alone
No sounds from the mountains
No echo from the valley.
The mind of mushin (no mind) is similar to honshin, the original mind. It does not harden or stop, and it contains no thoughts or judg ments. It does not rest anywhere but expands freely through the body. If the mind stops, thoughts arise. If the mind does not stop, it remains empty; this is the mind of mushin. This is also called mushin munen (no mind, no thought)
This is me at 19yrs old as a Shodan warming up (with a dojo brother) before a NY Coliseum demo with Victor Vega.
O'Sensei Lenchus gave me the task some time ago of gathering together the history of our art. It is a task I take seriously.
Recently I asked the students of the Mountain Dragon, Master Mitsusuke Harada to send me some of Master Harada's written history's. Master Harada studied Karate with O'Sensei's teacher Kawanabe Sensei and Ohshima Sensei in Wasada University from O'Sensei Gichin Funakoshi, Egami Sensei, and Okuyama Sensei.
We can learn a great deal from what ever he writes.
This is a picture of my son! His name is Joey. He was born in march and his astrological sign is ARIS! Wich is god of war. He is also born year of the Ram. In the first picture he is only a few hours old. Holding him is his adopted grandmother. Rachael Lenchus.
In the second photo Joey is six. he is having loads of fun with his martial arts training.
Joey is very bright he was reading at 1st grade level when he was in preschool. he is now in 1st grade reading at 3rd grade level!

I wrote the book "Three Roads to Hell" and KNOW it will sell with art work
I worry about cost of production but maybe with a "Teaser"of one chapter or two,
a large publisher will pick it up and run with it.
The first two chapters should definetly do it
The book is finished except for the publishing. There are a few drawings included
Everything has its own rhythm. In hei-ho, rhythm is especially important, and no one can excel without developing rhythm. That is also applicable to any other military art and technical skill (that is, music, dancing, horse riding, and so on). Naturally, rhythm and tempo must kept in balance.
Looking at a kata, as practiced today, as a whole, the movements from the beginning natural stance to the ending natural stance should be liquid and flowing, the performance should be beautiful and rhythmic, and the performer, full of vitality and radiating – power must be concentrated. Breathing must continue without interruption. In former practice, there used to be a pause between one movement and the next; now movement continues rhythmically, without pausing, and is fluid and flexible.
